Dr. Hayley Brawley is a space health researcher with a background in analytical chemistry, applied math, and nutritional biochemistry. She earned her PhD in chemistry from Texas A&M University, where she developed chromatographic and mass spectrometry methods to probe metal homeostasis and micronutrient regulation. Dr. Brawley has held research roles at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, where she investigated nutritional biomarkers in flight and analog missions. She currently serves as a senior research scientist with the U.S. Air Force’s Clinical and Operational Space Medicine Consortium (COSMIC). Her translational research portfolio bridges aerospace and defense medicine, with a focus on applying advanced analytical techniques to enable diagnostic innovation from the battlefield to space.
