Come and join us!

Join a world-class world wide group in discovery and measurement science

Share your work and build your career

We communicate science and the most recent advances in Analytical Chemistry by organizing and sponsoring Division programming at each ACS National Meeting. This includes symposia, award symposia, and poster sessions. Each year we provide an opportunity for 800-900 presentations to be made.

Career stability and growth through networking—meet your new boss or employee

All of our events have extensive and fun networking opportunities, some formal (mentoring workshops) and some informal (mixers and happy hours)
In collaboration with chemjobber, we provide a curated job-posting board to list open positions in analytical chemistry https://acsanalytical.org/careers/

Start something where you live and work—we’ll support it

We support local meetings and symposia – for instance Regional ACS meetings and other special symposia identified by the membership.

Learn new stuff first-hand from experts and people still evolving (like you)

The division works closely with Measurement Science journals Analytical Chemistry, Journal of Proteome Research, and ACS Sensors, and we award annual Measurement Science Lectureships – an international symposium celebrating excellence in measurement science.

Nominate your mentors or colleagues (or yourself) for an award

We honor our members through Division awards programs.
– Award in Electrochemistry
– Award in Spectrochemical Analysis
– Calvin Giddings Award for Excellence in Education
– Arthur F. Findeis Award for Young Analytical Scientist
– Award in Chemical Instrumentation
– Young Investigator in Separation Science
– The Roland F. Hirsch Award for Distinguished Service

Connections for jobs and travel (conference travel awards/grants)

Additionally, with the support of our sponsors, we are happy to offer Graduate Fellowships that support year-long and summer research of excellent students.

The Division of Analytical Chemistry represents over 6000 practicing Analytical Chemists within the American Chemical Society.  Membership in the Division allows participation in Division activities, programming and special opportunities.
