As you may have heard, the American Chemical Society (ACS) will no longer be presenting the Frank H. Field and Joe L. Franklin Award for Outstanding Achievement in Mass Spectrometry as a national award. Thanks to the support of sixteen previous awardees, sufficient funds have been raised for the award to continue as a division level award under the sponsorship of the Analytical Division. We hope that you agree that this award is an important one to the vitality of a major analytical tool, particularly within the chemistry community. Therefore, we are seeking additional funds needed to keep the prestigious national award status.
